Smoking Chair

Originally this project started as something like a joke. Whilst working at the School of Creative Arts in Wrexham I would often spend down time with my friend Georgia Nielson, who was a student there at the time. Being who I am, I would always have my camera on me, and Georgia has gotten used to me pointing it at her all the time. What started out as us messing about during a break ended up becoming a year long project of me photographing her smoking at the same chair out the back of the art school.

Sadly the chair didn’t survive and has since been skipped, and with there being the pandemic we ended up not being able to continue the project all the way through Georgia’s time studying there, but these stand as a record of her fashion choices and the fun times we got to share on those short breaks.
